The Las Vegas Royals basketball team made history this year by winning their first ever PacWest Division Championship in the American Basketball Association (ABA). The Royals were founded just 5 years ago but have quickly risen to be one of the top teams in the their league.
In the playoffs, they swept their first two opponents before facing their biggest rivals, the Chula Vista Suns in the ABA Finals. The Royals and Suns battled hard before Vegas pulled away in the last few seconds of the game. Their championship run was led by star player Jaiden Martin Jr, who was a consistent scorer and playmaker in the regular season and took home MVP honors.
The Royals improbable run energized the city of Las Vegas and established the Royals as the new powerhouse franchise in the ABA. This historic season proved that with strong management, talented players, and a passionate fanbase, we can return to the finals next season as well.
